Good afternoon my readers,
Today I am going to talk to you guys about my work that I have been doing this term.
This term has been the best for me. Because I have been working with Mr White and I have learnt so much. I have learnt about the Maori battalion and sport heroes. Here is an example of what I have learnt. I put some of my work for you guys to read. But these are just some parts.
As well, thanks to Mr White who has helped me get better at doing paragraphs and my speech marks. Because back in primary school I was great at doing stories but bad at putting speech marks in the wrong places. I didn’t actually do paragraphs in primary school. I used to do my sentences together.
Here are some examples of my work in this class:
‘Now her dream was coming to reality. Cherry had just finished the finishing touches on the paper air plane. She took a rest from building the paper air plane. When she was sleeping she dreamed that she was flying her paper air plane across the sky. Once she woke up she wanted to make that dream real. She pushed the paper air plane outside and got on the paper air plane. Suddenly the wind picked up and it started to move in the air. It soared through the sky. Cherry was so happy because she had believed in herself and made a new invention.
Here are some facts about Jane Goodall
Jane Goodall is a English primatologist and anthropologist. She loves chimpanzees and she went out of her way to save them. By making sure they didn’t go extinct. Primatologist means that you are studying animals and learning about them. Anthropologists means you are studying humans and their ancient history.
Do you guys know Amelia Earhart? Some people think that she was the 1st person to fly. But she was actually the 16th woman to fly. In order to pay for lessons she needed she had to work a variety of jobs. She worked as a photographer and sometimes a truck driver. Once she received her license in 1923 she could fly a plane.
People thought Amelia Earhart was shy and didn't talk much. But Amelia Earhart was a brave and remarkable person. She flew many records and became very famous. She flew across the Atlantic and pacific ocean. She wanted to fly as an equator. She set out on her flight to do this on March 17 1937. However on July the 3rd Amelia Earhart was heard from for the last time and the plane disappeared. To this day but it is still a mystery.
She was born on 24 July 1897, Atchison, Kansas, United States
She Disappeared: July 2, 1937 (aged 39); Pacific Ocean, en route to Howland Island from Lae, New Guinea
So I hope you guys enjoy some samples of my work that I have done in my hur1 hur2 hur3 work.
I have learned so much about writing with punctuations and with paragraphs. Last year my work was good but this year it is getting better for my stories. I really can’t wait to do another story for next term.
Thank you for teaching me this year Mr White, this is a thank you shout out to my teacher Mister White for teaching me new things.
Have a great week my readers stay strong. It is nearly the holidays.
