Super Winter sports recount

 Good morning my exotic readers,

This week we have been writing recounts using language features. So now that we have learnt all of these language features this term we need to use them in our writing. We find our language in our documents or a Room 9 site.

These are the language features we have been learning about:

  1. Onomatopoeia  - ‘Bang’

  2. Metaphor - “You are the sun!’

  3. Personification “The clouds danced across the sky.”

  4. Hyperboles - “I was so embarrassed I would have stuck my head in the toilet to hide.”

  5. Alliteration - “It was time for super Sunday sports.”

  6. Dialogue - “Don’t move,” Ellenessa whispered.

We walked to the gym for the awards for the person who won awards it is really hot in the gym and we are really sweaty.

First thing that we did was answer in our documents were the question that are who why, whaat, when, where and how. We wrote down in bullet points. Then we looked for places where we could include ur language feature. We highlighted the different  language features in different colours.

Here is the start of my writing,

One sunny afternoon at Hornby primary school bells rings. A crowd of chattering students were running to the court and lining up. I walk out of the office and I run to the court. When I get there my teammates are there. I tie up my shoelaces and wait for my coach Miss Scott to come. When she gets there she takes the bags over her shoulder and  says,“Hockey people grab shin pads if you need some and your hockey sticks.”

Here is some photos of people playing winter sports,

Thank you for reading my sports post please comment and have a wonderful exotic readers.
